MEET YOUR TRAINER
Hi! I’m Ike
I grew up in Africa where my passion for health sprouted from. I saw lots of children malnourished predominately due to low income, which limited their food choices. I spent a lot of my time sick; reflecting on this now it had a lot do to with the food I was eating.
I came to New Zealand when I was 15, skinny, and well under my recommended weight. Throughout my college years, I became involved with a lot of sport and got into long-distance running. I loved endurance running but didn’t enjoy the physique that came with it; already being on the leaner side. I addressed this myself and started strength training with weights. This not only made me more confident in my body but I became the fastest runner in college.
I still faced my challenges. Putting on muscle and weight came with a lot of hard work. It also taught me about proper nutrition and working out the smart way. It took time, dedication, and commitment but I got there.
I became a qualified personal trainer in 2007 and have been helping others achieve their dreams ever since. I love watching the confidence grow in my clients when they drop the kilos and start gaining muscle and my female clients feeling sexy and confident about themselves. Educating those on how to eat properly with smaller budgets has also been hugely rewarding. Being involved in these processes is what keeps me driven to be my best.
